CEREC Treatment
Here at Cashel Daisley we are proud to offer treatment using the onsite CEREC studio. This advanced system allows us to create ceramic dental fittings, such as crowns and veneers, whilst you wait in our comfortable practice. The CEREC studio will allow us to offer same-day smile makeovers to all our patients.
The CEREC studio enables a patient to have their teeth assessed without the need for impressions and temporary fittings, instead using a 3D camera to design the perfect fitting within two hours. The state-of-the-art milling machine then crafts the fitting so that the restoration can be fitted onsite without any lengthy waiting.
What benefits does CEREC offer?
The benefits of the CEREC technology will mean fewer visits for a patient and less time out of their busy schedule. Regular treatment for restoration fittings, such as crowns, would typically involve the patient visiting twice - with an initial appointment involving an anaesthesia injection, taking teeth impressions and fitting a temporary restoration. The second visit would then involve fitting the permanent restoration in place, along with further injections. CEREC eliminates the need for a second visit, with the entire process being completed in a single day.
Another benefit of CEREC technology is that it allows for the strongest ceramic materials to be used to create natural tooth-coloured restorations, instead of gold and amalgam metals. Not only this, but the CEREC studio allows for single restorations to be made as well as complete smile makeovers. Discoloured and chipped teeth can be repaired and restored using a single crown or veneer, which are designed and crafted on the very same day you visit the practice.
